REVISIONS AND REVAMPING

According to the latest FEM 9775 regulations, after 10 years from start-up, CE marked lifting equipment may have ended their working life period / or reached the max cycles of operation, in relation to the service group for which they were classified for.
The crane so should be subject to the following mandatory safety procedure:

Calculation of " Residual Life" , conducted by an expert engineer, on the basis of the "Declaration of use " by the user
Decennial inspection conducted on the machine according to the rule FEM 9775 ( SWP Safe Working Period)

Following the inspection and/or in relation to the effective use of the crane, the machine may be subject to a general operating valuation or certified to be able to extend its safe working period.

Very often the renewal is necessary to adapt the system to the existing rules or simply to increase the security guarantees provided to operators.
